Council invites all residents and ratepayers to attend a Public Information Meeting to receive updates on matters of importance to our community.
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Thunderchild Property and Addition to Reserve (ATR) Process
An update on the status of the property located in the heart of our Village, ongoing discussions and matters currently being addressed by Council.
Municipal Operations and Financial Accountability
Information regarding regulatory processes and associated costs affecting the Village's operations and financial resources.
WHY A NOVEMBER MEETING?
Council recognizes that Kivimaa–Moonlight Bay is a seasonal community and that many ratepayers are not here year-round.
While our Annual General Meeting is held during the summer to accommodate seasonal residents, important municipal matters continue to develop throughout the year.
Council believes it is important to share information as it becomes available rather than delay updates until the following summer.
By offering both in-person and Zoom participation, we hope to provide an opportunity for residents and ratepayers to attend regardless of where they are located.

- Turtle lake watershed is starting a Planning and Development Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to support coordinated, watershed-based planning, and to provide informed recommendations concerning development and land-use matters that may affect Turtle lake. The Resort Village of Kivimaa–Moonlight Bay would like to advise residents that our Mayor will be unavailable for municipal matters for a period of time.
We respectfully ask that everyone allow the Mayor the time and privacy needed during this period.
To ensure the continued operation of municipal services, Councillor Archie MacLeod will be assuming the duties of Deputy Mayor during the Mayor's absence.
Municipal operations and services will continue as usual.
